When news broke yesterday that GT5 would be delayed yet again, fans across gaming’s web went mental, literally. And with good reason, save Duke Nukem, Polyphony Digital’s fifth major installment in the longer running franchise must be the most delayed game ever.
It’s been six years in the making, and after promising to release the game on November 2nd at this past E3, fans were left disappointed, again.
Polyphony Digital boss, Kazunori Yamauchi is extremely saddened by the situation, and he went on twitter to plead with fans, asking them to “wait a bit more”.
That’s what he said in the tweet according to Andriasang. He also said that his team needed some time to finalize some of the game’s more complicated systems. He then apologized again.
In a later tweet, he said the recent delay wasn’t some sort of stealthy move to release the game in 2011, replying to a fan who plead for the game’s release to happen this year, Yamauchi said, “I believe we won’t keep you waiting until then.”
There you have it. He just wants a little more time, just a little.

sorry kaz, but ive waited long enough!
