When you hear the name Valve, what comes to mind? Think Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress. Yes, some of the best, most critically praised games came from the creative minds at Valve. So when the developer says it has an announcement of any sort to make, it’s a big deal.
It’s even a bigger thing when the company says it’s about to announce a new game.
Today, Valve will stop over at GameInformer to announce what this new game is, and as soon as it happens, we’ll bring it live, right here.
Interestingly enough, anonymous poster, IceFrog, who was hired by Valve last year to work on a new project, posted this on his blog yesterday:
“Hey guys, Game Informer dropped by the office last week to take a look at what I’ve been working on with the rest of the team over the last year.
They are going to post an article about it tomorrow on their website. I’ll give you guys a link to it as soon as it is published.
Looking forward to seeing what you guys think!”
We don’t know who’s this guy, (apart from being a popular Warcraft III mod who Valve hired) but as long as the game’s being helmed by Gabe Newell and his team, it’s big news.
