Capcom’s TGS presser’s in full swing, and there, the publisher’s just announced a new Devil May Cry title being developed by Ninja Theory.

“Heaven and Hell suppose two distinct species of men, the good and the bad,” the caption before the trailer reads.
“But the greatest part of mankind float betwixt vice and virture.” A quote from David Hunne.
In it, you’re a younger protagonist than former DMC stars in the past. Wielding two guns, you’re seen wasting the useless dead as they try to encamp you.
Suddenly the action intensifies. The whole thing’s rather wicked.

Ninja Theory’s completed its upcoming title, Enslaved: Odyssey To The West, and as we’ve just learned, the guys can take down two birds with one stone.
As for the game’s publisher and IP owner, Capcom, developer boss Keiji Inafune said it would soon talk about release dates for the game, but the publisher’s confirmed in a press release it’ll be release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Here’s a description of the game’s story, Capcom said it would “redefine the franchise”.
“Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost.”

Some games don’t like it, but I personally find it to be interesting.
At least they brought back Dante. I can’t wait to play it. I think it will be good and the series has needed a bit of a revamp.

I was looking at some pictures of the original Dante verses this new one and they look a lot alike. It just looks like he has been through hell and it has really taken an effect on his body. So I am not to worked up about the new look. I just hope the gameplay is better and more interesting.
no they do not look alike, if i wanted to play as epic mickey, ill go play him in his new game, not devil may cry. this is still bullshit
I mean, I see why some folks are upset, especially at the end of the trailer, where he’s smoking the cigarette or whatever.

yeah, you’re right. I am just trying to ease the pain. I am not to worked up over it, but then again I am not like a die hard fan of the games. Now, i would probably get pissed if they did this to Ninja Gaiden, or gears.

@RedBullGT3, ive been a fan of DMC since it was first announced, i still have the demo disc for DMC 1 in my collection, & to watch one of my favorite games series seem to go down the shitter pisses me off. i waited 2 years for a new devil may cry and this is what they give me and the other fans. i really hope that they give this game some logically explanation on why he looks the way he does and the setting
People are speculating that it is his son, or something like that. They are also saying that he is in hell and that has caused him to change.
he looks like an offspring of dante and lady if it is the REAL dante’s son. i dont know about the hell explanation though

i think anybody who loves video games and this series should not support it “IF” this is really reboot of devil may cry. its just the start of developers trying reboot games that don’t need reboot’s. how would anybody like if your favorite game series suddenly got reboot when it didn’t need it. we can stop this crap in its tracks right now while we can. but only if its a reboot if it somewhere fits in the dmc universe then maybe we can see what this game can offer. im willing to get over the fact of Dante’s appearance if the game fit in the DMC universe, & explains why he looks the way does.
@Ghost250: Yeah, I totally agree with you. We shouldn’t simply allow devs to just switch on us like a lizard meshing with its environments… Let’s first see, though, if it’s indeed in the DMC universe….. This could get interesting…
Capcom said last night that, “there was no “taboo” in working on DMC and that Capcom and Ninja Theory will do whatever’s needed to make it work.”
We’ll see about that…
