Obviously, when a game sells 7 million copies in the span of a few months, It’s almost a certainty that a sequel will follow. Normally, however, said sequel would come in the next year or two, and we wouldn’t hear nothing about it until the game’s developer’s properly sure it has something solid to reveal.
For Rockstar, that’s apparently not the case. In fact the studio’s already confirmed the existence of a sequel to Red Dead Redemption, saying it’s already under heavy development.
There’s even a name for it, too.
Speaking to MCV (under strict conditions of “intoxication”), someone from Rockstar told the site that the next game will be called Red Dead Revolution.
Interesting, the name is. As for the game seeing a sequel, that’s a no-brainer.

Why not make a sequel, the game sold like hot cakes. lol. I though it was a fun game, but I just hope they add some more variety to the game. It got repetitive at points. It was a fun game overall.
Great game was great. Although, I suspect, Nick will disagree lol.
i did not say the game was not good, i said it was far too repetitive!
its definitely by far the best game R* have made, but its still got a long way to go.
why do all R* games have to feel like 2 levels repeated x amount of times?
Okay, I see what you’re saying.
but than to be honest which game is not repetitive?
one thing games really lack these days is enemy variety and character development.
as the game goes through you need to change the character people are playing as, be that skill, appearance, abilities whatever.
you also need to bring in new enemies to keep the gameplay fresh.
metroid other M is a perfect example of enemy variety, every 10 minutes your fighting a new enemy for the first time.
thats something KZ3 seriously needs!
what is the point of having 10 different types of characters if they attack, defend, behave almost exactly the same as the others?
thats the best part of mertoid other M there are so many different enemies, and not one plays similar to another.
True points. I see a great game developer in the making in you, Nick.
