This weekend should be interesting as we try and tackle the subject matter of DLC and the reasons for keeping a game even after you’ve beaten it.
One of our faithful users, ExclusivesMostly, told me during the week that he recently traded in four games at a GameStop and Heavy Rain was one of them. He said he did it because Sony didn’t released the promised DLC, and so he found no reason for keeping HR any longer.
I beg to differ. I think that there are games you just keep for your collection. Maybe I’m just too old, (only 28) but I just love to see some of the most memorable titles sitting atop my shelf. Mr. ExclusivesMostly, you should go and buy back that game.
And about DLC, developers are milking gamers hard on this one, releasing content that should have already been in the game. I’m starting to think that soon we’ll need to buy the ending of the games that we’ve already purchased. At the rate we’re moving, it might just happen.
It’s crazy.
Anyways, as usual, any talk goes; from issues of life, of gaming, love, and everything in between.

I got a few more papers to write, but other than that I will be finishing up Infamous and playing whatever else. I will be done with Infamous tonight or tomorrow and then it will probably be Uncharted 2 after that. So, if anyone is in the Uncharted 2 mood just let me know. I willing be playing Uncharted 2 tonight as well.
Tonight, I’ll be spending some time with the Wifey. In fact, I just came from the Bowling Alley – had fun, too. Tomorrow, I’ll be on the quencher talking about the topic at hand…. Enjoy Uncharted bro…
Bowling, I love bowling. I have not been bowling in months. The problem is I have a bad shoulder and have trouble bowling. Oh, well. Also, I have to say this again, Infamous is amazing.
I just finished Infamous and it was amazing. I love the twist ending, even though I knew how it ended. The only thing that bothered me was that the melee combat had some issues. Sometimes you would kick through someone or just plain out miss them. In did not affect the overall game though. I loved this game.
ive always liked DLC, it gives me a reason to dig out my collection and give it another whirl.
but, please no DLC in the busy months like november.
i dont have enough time to finish my tafe work, let alone play new games, let alone play new DLC of old games!

today went to the shops to look for a fathers day present, than spent the rest of the day studying for my programming test on monday.

Now like Ernice stated I traded a few games recently and one of them was Heavy Rain. I really wanted the promised back stories in DLC and with those canned I didn’t feel the need to keep it. I will however buy it again in a couple years when it’s in the clearance bin because it was indeed a great game.
@RedBullGT33: you mentioned that you’re thinking about getting KZ2 again in another post. Coincidentally I just got KZ2 again (with my trades). I traded it last year but was craving it because of all the KZ3 media. I even downloaded the PSN demo again to be sure. Dude I must say, for an almost 2 year old game it is freaking awesome. I swear man, no other FPS gives me the feeling I get while playing Killzone. I played through it once to unlock the hardest difficulty. I’m half way through it now on that. Just FYI, I have a Slim PS3 now and my KZ save from ’09 is not transferable. I alsomultiplier than one online IDs. The one I posted on here is now the only one I’ll be using from now on.
I meant “more than one online IDs” Oh and I’m playing KZ2 on the hardest difficulty to get the Gold SP trophy (not a big trophy guy but I love Killzone so I want at least the gold)
Anyways I should also mention that I got the original Uncharted as well. Oh and I got them both new in the RED greatest hits packages
with the new logo. They fit quite nice at the bottom of my dual stacked “holder” for the
games I’ll never trade.

i got all the way till the cruiser level, the part where you enter that room where theres a spiral staircase, just before you fight another one of the chain gun guys.
i got all the way to that, like 90% of the game and could not get past that for the life of me!
i was so pissed at myself, spent a good 12 hours or so getting there and a good 4 hours or so trying to get past it but no luck.
god, KZ2 was bloody hard on elite!

inFamous 1 had its share of issues, but overall it’s an awesome title. A game I’d play over and over again – good and evil

On the matter of DLC, do you guys think that this will get so out of control that we might have to pay to see game endings? I know it sounds crazy but just recently, paying to play multiplayer online was an abomination
Oh and good luck on attaining that trophy, like Nick stated, it’s pretty hard to beat the whole thing on Elite.

Yeah, when I got my ps3 a year ago I got Killzone 2. I then traded it in to get uncharted 2, but I wish I didn’t, it was a fun game.
If it ever gets to the point where I have to pay for a game’s ending. I will quit gaming.

I rented it and reached pretty far actually. I really like the game. The only issue I have with the game is the loading times.
Painstakingly long. Other than that, it’s a really nice game – it’s challenging, too.
I was just wondering if you played it. I got it the day it came out. They just did an update to fix the loading times and changed some things. They also added an easy mode for the single player. I just did not play it as much as I thought I would. I spent most of my time creating characters and cars.
Oh yeah? I loved the Story mode, I think it’s really competitive

Oh and you should definately get KZ2, RedBullGT33, I’m currently playing it on the elite level and it’s just a blast. Very hard on this level though as I’ve been warned. The AI is freaking unforgiving! Sweet!
If you want a difficult game, you have to play Demon Souls. It is a great game, and very difficult.
I’m not a big RPG fan. But yeah I heard it was a good game and indeed difficult.
It seems as if you guys are just not into the Call of Duty titles
yeah, they are okay. I will not buy them, but I will rent them. I also will not buy Medal of Honor, but I will rent it. lol. Truthfully the only war games I will buy are the battlefield games.
I owned Modern Warfare 1&2…..still play 2.. But I love Killzone 2, can’t wait for three. I’ll definitely be checking out Medal of Honor (Rent first), and Black Ops. My favorite genre is action adventure, however. Give me Uncharted all day long
Yeah, me too. I did not buy MW2 because I am a huge pc fan and it really pissed me off when they raised the price and took a lot of stuff away, so I boycotted it. I might not be able to rent Medal of Honor for a while, but I will rent the COD when it comes out. I just did not like the Medal of Honor mp. I do want to play the single player.

it is like the biggest competitive sight out there. I was just wondering if you have used it before. I use to be on a clan on there and people cheated so bad. If you play on there you need a catch card so you can record what happens and report the cheaters.

cool, they usually have brackets for all games. The big games, however, have cool prizes if you win the season. Sometimes you win money or other things. Also, if you are good enough you might get sponsored. My old team played some guys that were sponsored by a controller mod company and the team go free controllers. So it is pretty cool. Also I think you might get a bid into a MLG tournament if you win a Gamebattles tournament or season. I cant remember which.

yeah it is pretty good. I just wish there wasn’t cheaters on there, but you can’t avoid them.
