Multiplayer For Arkham City Confirmed

The first title didn’t boast the feature, but according to a post by fansite ArkhamCity.co.uk, Rocksteady’s confirmed that the sequel, Batman: Arkham City, will have a multiplayer component.

No details on how the thing will work, however, so we’ll see what’s cooking whenever it’s unveiled.

Buy Arkham City on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next year.

It’s looking good.

that will be strange, just like dead space 2 multiplayer will be strange.

just to let you know. I got to play the vanquish demo and it is really fun. I think it is worth renting because it has no multiplayer and just from the demo impressions I have a feeling that it will not have high replay value, but it is extremely fun. Also, the R.U.S.E demo is good too.

LOL… Not all games are suited for Multiplayer, and I have no idea why devs feel they must do this…

Oh yeah? I’ll be checking them out, then. Been so busy getting things up to speed.

yeah, I totally agree that not all games need multiplayer. I get tired of a lot of games just tacking on multiplayer and I can see Vanquish having multiplayer, but it does not need it. I am just saying that the game does not seem like it will have a lot of depth to it. I think it will be worth playing, but with so many other games coming out; I am not sure if it is worth buying until the price is a little lower.

At the same time though, it is a new IP and I is pretty unique and I want to support those kind of games so that they have another chance at making the game even better. So, I might end up buying it.

Well I’ll buy the game for sure, and if the MP is any good, I’ll delve into it.. If not then….

dead spaces 2 MP allows you to play as the necromorphs!
now how freaking cool is that!?
ive never been a MP fan, but by joy i think that will be the first thing i delve into com jan 25th.

as for arkham city……. i dunno, i mean i cant see how MP would suit this game.
hopefully it does not effect the quality of the SP, but its rocksteady so the series is in good hands.

They have to come up with something really attractive for this to take hold.

yea, i just cant see what it will be.
    cops and robbers?
people play as the villains and others play as the heros and have to catch them?
i dunno, i really cant see how MP could be incorporated into this.

    How’s that game coming?

I agree that for some games it’s just not necessary but this is another area where they could really come up with something unique that wows fans.
