Video Thirst: Guerrilla Games Shows Off Killzone Prototype Without The Helghast

Do you own a PS3 and love shooters? Then by all means you’ve played Killzone 2. Think about this for a moment: What would the game’s world be like without the Helghast?

I know, Killzone would not be Killzone without Helghan – but it did exist. Seriously.

Video proof past the break.

Herman Hulst, head of Guerrilla Games, showed off a never-before-seen pitch trailer for the original Killzone at GDC Europe last week in Cologne. The trailer dates back to 1999; that’s about ten years ago.

Video Thirst:

I promise you, there’s nothing resembling the Helghast in the vid you’re about to watch. All you see are things blowing up.

Quench it courtesy Joystiq.

The game’s out February 2011.

    cool!
i have to say the original KZ was by far the best in the series!
it was so unique, original and so much fun!
sure it was buggy as hell, i had to reset my ps2 50 times before i could play the dam game but its still one of the best shooters out there!
shame i cant say the same about KZ2.

    it will?
online yea for some reason KZ2 and R2 are the only games i can play online, everything else just bores me.
but SP wise, well, from what ive seen it looks like KZ2 with snow and jetpacks so im not so sure.

i really want to get excited for this game, but i cant.
i loved the original killzone, by far the best shooter on ps2!
but KZ2 let me down so much, and from what ive seen not much has changed since then so………………….
ill be getting it simply because it one of the few games that will have move support, but ATM it looks like it cant hold a candle to RAGE, crysis 2 or even BRINK.
