It only does being hacked? Yeah, the thing many thought was impossible is no longer so. Sony’s once impenetrable black box dubbed PS3, has succumbed under the wits of brilliant minds.
Digital Foundry’s reporting multiple modchip resellers were sent anonymous packages from Hong Kong, and one of the recipients has posted two convincing-looking videos on YouTube showing the PlayStation 3 in action.
The two vids above gives visual proof that the console has indeed been cracked. Sony, of course, is definitely not liking the latest developments, so I’m sure they’re working on new firmware to patch the wound. Let’s just hope gamers don’t lose nothing in the process. Remember Linux? Yeah.
Well they had a good run. 4 years is nothing to scuff at. Looking at the bigger picture though I hope Sony finds a way to block it without removing anything. Yes Ernice, I do remember Linux.
Yeah, and removing linux didn’t do much good now did it? Like you said, I hope they do find a way to preserve all that’s good on the console and yet protect it.
