For Far Cry Lovers, Far Cry 3

I played Far Cry 2 and I semi-liked it. For me, the announcement or the lack thereof of the third installment doesn’t mean much, but for you, your excited juices might just start flowing like a river overwhelmed with a full day of incessant rain.

For you, the announcement of Far Cry 3 is the best thing ever.

According to the latest issue of PC Gamer, the game is in full production.

The game is “in full swing now,” the mag wrote. Ubisoft Montreal’s at the helm. Apparently, Far Cry 3′s development is being lead by Josh Mosqueira, who was the lead designer for Company of Heroes at Relic Entertainment.

The setting will remain in Africa, mind you, hopefully it’ll be an all new location of in the vast continent.

Nothing more was divulged.

Thanks, BigDownload.

far cry 2 was a really good game with one thing that completely destroyed it!
    everyone wants to kill you!
honestly, you cant step one foot out of the door without getting shot at!
im on my way to start a mission, and every 5 minutes i have to get out of my car to kill some people who are ramming me.
either that, or every 5 minutes i have to get out of my car because its about to explode and now i have to spend the next 15 minutes looking for a new car!
    god, how is that fun!?
how am i suppose to complete a mission, if im constantly having to stop every few moments to kill someone?
if you have 10KMs to travel and have to stop every minute its going to take forever to freaking get there!
ONE THING AT A TIME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, it’s like you were ALWAYS fighting or running away. Dumb.

id much rather a rainbow six game though!
rainbow six was by far my favorite game of 07, and still to today one of the best shooters ever released!

I heard that they are working on a new rainbow six and this time it will not be based in Vegas.

Oh yeah, that was a really great title. Scored extremely high, too. Wonder where it’ll be based this time? Good news, though.

it was fairly popular, it was the most played online game till resistance 2 came out.
it was very popular for a multiplatform title.
it wont be set in vegas thats for sure, ubisoft said the last RSV game would be the last one set in vegas.
id like to see a more confined city based one, id love to see a new SWAT game too.
loved swat 4, shame i did not get to play it much because at the time of release my PC was not powerful enough to play it.
such a fun game though, thats one game that really needs a sequel!
