There’s a loud and vibrant group amongst the inFamous fanbase that would do anything to see online multiplayer included in Sucker Punch’s latest effort.
They’ll have to wait till inFamous 3, then, because according to the developer, its focus is solely on creating the best single player campaign for upcoming sequel.
Speaking to G4TV, the developer made its point clear:
“We’re focusing on making the best single-player experience possible,” Sucker Punch told the site at Gamescom.
inFamous 3, then? I’m all for making the best single player experience, but added multiplayer wouldn’t hurt either.

I am glad they are not tacking on multiplayer, because it will just cost the single player. Lately a lot of single player games that have added multiplayer have really suffered in the single player aspect. The only game I can think of that truly did a good job is Uncharted 2. I absolutely love the single player and I have put countless hours in the multiplayer. It is an all around good experience.

Totally true, I am only 22, but I have been gaming since I was 5 and there are have been very few games that I have enjoyed more than uncharted 2. The only other game that I had as much fun with was Super Mario Brothers 2 on the NES. Me and my friend use to play that game for hours at his house and it never got old.
Yeah, Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 were the best ever. Man, I think I played 3 for years; popped it over a dozen times. Memories.
Yeah, we got addicted to SMB 3 as well, they were amazing.
