While Resistance 3 was announced at Gamescom, many gamers are still somewhat perturbed with the second installment. To them, Insomniac Games failed the franchise by steering away too far from what made the first title a masterpiece in its time.
Even Insomniac Games admitted at one point that they could have done a much better job with it, and now, speaking over at the US PS Blog, Marcus Smith, Project Manager of Resistance 1 and 2 at Insomniac Games, said Resistance 3 will live up to the expectations that they’ve set for it.
“We won’t be gone for too long” he said referring to the game’s release date.
“The team has been hard at work over the last two years developing Resistance 3, and we’re excited to have extra time to ensure that this game lives up to the expectations we’ve all got for it.”
Indeed, two years and counting is more than enough time to make Resistance 3 the best yet.
I wonder when they’ll release this game. Early May 2011 seems likely to me (KZ3 in Feb). Oh and that movie that it’s featured in was pushed back.
doubt march its too close to KZ3 and in the same month as red faction Armageddon and crysis 2.
id say may would be there best bet, may is normally fairly quiet id be much better to release it in June or July or August but i doubt they will because for some reason publishers dont like releasing there games then.
im still on the fence with this, i loved RFOM and was so freaking excited for R2 but it disappointed me so much.
its left a scar, so ill keep my expectations down till its out.

Oh, the movie was pushed back too? Okay. Yeah, I think might release the game a tad later than Killzone 3….

will be interesting to see when sony releases it, they have so many big name shooters releasing next year!
KZ3, resistance 3, socom 4, not to mention the big MP games like crysis, BRINK and RAGE.
Yeah, the PS3 is the console to own next year. I would like to see MS build some first party studios
Nick I did say “May”. Anyways, yeah PS3 is in full force from all the EXCLUSIVE high profile games that’s been announced for 2011 so far. The majority of them in the first half of the year. I still think that Uncharted 3 if fair game for Fall 2011.

nah, i seriously cant see uncharted 3 releasing next year.
i honestly believe ND are working on a different game to uncharted.
