Guerrilla Games Are Hard At Work On New IP

And the wave of Sony exclusive titles continues to rise. For Guerrilla Games, the Killzone franchise is not enough, therefore, the studio’s now hard at work on spanking new IP.

This was confirmed by Herman Hulst, Guerrilla Games managing director. The developer said this in an interview with Dutch magazine Control. The game, however, is still in concept stages so we should expect nothing much in the present to near future.

But as soon as work on Killzone 3 is done and the game’s released, the studio said it will focus all its cylinders on the new project.

Makes my prediction even more viable: Killzone 4 will be on the PS4. I think they’re great developers so anything they make will be worth checking out. It probably won’t be a shooter at least not a first person one but who knows…guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Ernice Gilbert

Yes indeed. I’ve taken up your advise to do the article abut PS4 releasing with Killzone 4…… and what not.

Look out for it later in the week : )

  • linglingjr

ps4 is going to come out in late august of 2011 my dad works for sony

  • Ernice Gilbert

    lol, yeah right.

  • nick

lol, yea right linglingjr and pigs fly backwards!
back on topic, this really does not surprise me because, well, i can see KZ3 being the last of the series!
there leader is dead, so KZ3 will be all about taking out the successors, the people leading to take his place.
i wont be surprised if KZ3 is the last of the series, or at least the last of its type.
if the series is to continue it would need to take a drastic change into a different direction!

will be interesting to see what they come up with next, but hopefully please for the love of god! please no more shooters!
please something more sophisticated, maybe a physiological thriller, or detective game ala the condemned series, or even heavy rain!
GG are far too talented a team to waste their time on stupid shooters!

  • ExclusivesMostly

    @Ernice: Awesome!

  • Ernice Gilbert

Whatever it is, I’ll interested. But Nick is right, we had enough shooters already.

    @ ExclusivesMostly…. I’ll do my best : )

a horror game would be the best genre for these guys to tackle!
not a zombie game they have been overdone too much!
not a vampire game they also have been overdone too much!
more allong the lines of a serial killer, and your the detective assigned to solving the case.
god, i want LA Noire SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ernice Gilbert

lol, it’s coming soon, don’t worry. But yeah, A horror game from Guerrilla Games? Hmm… I dunno

  • nick

im not so sure it is!
a guy i use to talk to on gamehead now works for team bondi i saw him in the city the other day and i spoke to him trying to get some info out of him.
as usual he was tight lipped, though he assured me it will be out late this year, and it will be worth the wait.
he also hinted at a massive gamescom reveal, with a gameplay demo live!
its going to be GOW3 times 1000 technologically wise i just wish it was out NOW!

  • Ernice Gilbert

“GOW3 times 1000 technologically wise i just wish it was out NOW!” That’s a bold claim.

  • nick

tis, but its R* and when have they let us down?
plus thats not my words, those were his!

  • Ernice Gilbert

lol, true. The guys are masters at their craft.
