Square-Enix has made many promises in the past, only to whined up breaking them in the long run. Especially to the PS3 base. Take FFXIII for instance, the RPG veteran developer promised that said title would only be available on the PS3, soon thereafter, at E3 2008, it was announced for the Xbox 360. There are also rumors of Versus XIII going multiplatform as well.
Square-Enix also said that the PS3 version of the game would be the only one to be available in Japan, apparently, according to Xbox.com, that too has changed.

According to XNEWS, dubbed as the largest Xbox and Xbox 360 information site, has stated that, in the past, nearly all games that have had their Japanese language Achievements discovered in advance of official release announcement were later given a release.
So will it happen? Recently, Square-Enix has been talking a lot about maximizing profits, and catering to the Western audience, even going as far as to say Western Devs should be the only ones to develop Western games.
Apparently, the company’s moving where the money is, and no more is it about console loyalty, or even fan loyalty.
If things continue down that path, I feel bad for us, gamers.
