Well Pachter, things don’t always pan out the way you’d hope now do they? Yes, Alan Wake looked promising and you thought Remedy and Microsoft would have made a killing off of the thriller. After all, the hype train has been building for umpteen years now. But it didn’t, and once more, you’re wrong. The good thing about you, though, is that you’re not afraid to admit you mishaps.
So when you confessed your sins to Industry Gamers, I was pleased. We still love you, you know.
” I’m sad to see Alan Wake’s sales so low,” he told the site, “It is a great game, and had the misfortune of coming out the same day as Red Dead Redemption.”

Yes, the month was crowded, but to be honest, RDR sucked all the wind out of everything. The game was phenomenal, and it really captured the lion’s share of May sales.”

i knew it would sell poorly for 3 reasons.
1 its been in development for so long most who had interest in it, lost it due to the long wait!
2 its a new IP and new IPs very rarely sell well!
3 remedy and M$ gave a massive F U to their PC fans when they canceled the PC version of the game, so they certainly did not do themselves any favors there!
i really want to see a sequel to alan wake, but thats looking very unlikely now!
Yeah, it was a big mistake not to bring Alan Wake to PC….

anyway, hopefully M$ lets remedy get a sequel ready for us and hopefully they will release it on PC with the original.
i really want to see the story extended upon, see what else they can throw at us!
maybe delve into the origins of bright falls, and origin of the darkness.
how it was created, and what happened from its creation to alans arrival.
id love to see the DLC act as a sequel, have us play as another person searching for alan trying to figure out what happened at the end of alan wake.
than have alan wake serve as a prequel, a origin of alan wake if you will.
now that would be cool!
