Crytek’s Kingdoms Have Been Under Development For “A While” Says MS

Remember that exclusive title that Crytek showed off at this year’s E3 dubbed Kingdoms? Yeah, well if you thought the E3 showing was just a quick put together so Microsoft exclusive games lineup could be bolstered, you should regret it. According to Redmond, the game’s been cooking for “a while”.

“Cervat [Yerli], the head of Crytek, I probably met him for the first time at GDC four of five years ago,”Microsoft Games Studios boss Phil Spencer told OXM. “We’d try to find ways to work together, but as a publisher I want to work with independent developers when it’s a relationship I know would be strong and symbiotic.”

“If they have ideas that they think and we think are better for third-party publishers, I’m actually happy to have success on our platform with those games.

They’re just such a top-tier developer. Graphically, they’re on a par with anybody else in the industry – and I think it’s a great addition to our line-up.”

Kingdoms will be available some time next year. Currently, Crytek is working on Crysis 2, the once PC exclusive franchise will see its debut on consoles come autumn.

it will be interesting to see hat type of game kingdoms is.
from the trailer it looked allot like the movie 300, i really hope its not that styled game!
i really want it to be a GOW styled game, the 360s version of god of war if you will.
