Sony Would Like To Tag Team With Nintendo To Promote 3D

When last did Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo worked together? I too can’t remember, but if it’s left up to Sony, they, and Nintendo could join hands in promoting both company’s vested interest in the success of 3D, with Sony’s company-wide 3D initiative and Nintendo’s new revolutionary handheld, 3DS.

This is according to Sony’s Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida in a recent interview with IGN. He said instead of watching both companies “bash” each other, he’d like to see Nintendo have a “broader” perspective on 3D.

“When you listen to what they are saying about the effect of 3D perspective to the games, they are saying the same message we are, but they don’t have to bash some small part of what the other company is doing. I think as an industry we should preach this new perspective, from a very large cinema screen to a small portable, because that helps advancing the games and the game industry. We’d like to work together to promote 3D,” the boss told IGN.

Interesting comments indeed. We’ll we see a Nintendo/Sony Tag Team on 3D soon? It’d be surprising, but I wouldn’t be surprised; my mom always say, ‘nothing surprise me anymore”, and I agree with her completely.
