i wish developers would spend more time refining their gameplay and level designs.
toy story 3 for example is such a good game but it is repetitive as %$#@
the first buz level for example all you do for 30 minutes is jump onto a floating rock, jump up and smash it into smaller pieces and jump to one of the pieces you broke off.
rinse and repeat for 30 minutes.
why do developers do this?
have they not realized that doing the same crap over and over again for 30 minutes straight is extremely boring and frustrating!?
honestly its been years since a game has bored me out of my mind to the point where im sleepy, but thats exactly what toy story 3 does its that boring!

this is whats wrong with the industry today developers are so heffed up on mind blowing graphics the gameplay and level design is taking a dive.
take killzone 2 for example, the developers spent so much time working on the graphics matching the original trailer they had no time to work on the gameplay.
killzone 2 is one of the most repetitive boring games i have ever played!
ive always said games should be made onto 6 aspects.
gameplay, presentation, graphics, sound design, level design and storyline.
now graphics are by far the LEAST important of those 6.
why? simple!
games are a form of entertainment no?
ok. so the whole point of playing games is to have fun.
so can a game be fun if it has bad gameplay?
NO!
can a game be fun if it has bad presentation?
NO!
can a game be fun if it has bad graphics?
YES!
can a game be fun if it has bad sound design?
YES!
can a game be fun if it has bad level design?
NO!
can a game be fun if it has a bad storyline?
well thats a tricky one, but more no than yes.
see the point?
great graphics are a luxury you dont have to have them, there not necessary.
its like air con in a car, you dont need it but its certainly useful and convenient.
dont get me wrong, im a graphics whore im the kind of guy who complains over unstable frame rates and things like that.
but still poor graphics in a game is the last thing a developer should be worried about!
