Report: Sony and Square-Enix Face $5million FFXIII PS3 bricking lawsuit

IGN is reporting that Square Enix and Sony are being sued for $5 million because some copies of Final Fantasy XIII are allegedly causing PS3s to become unresponsive.

The lawsuit also claims the game, FFXIII has caused “PS3 consoles to freeze and become totally and permanently inoperable.”

Wolf argues that he purchased Final Fantasy XIII on release day, popped it into the PS3 for a run and since then his PS3 wouldn’t, well, run. According to Wolf, all media became unresponsive.

The lawsuit says, “both Defendants are eminently aware of the damage being cause by their defective products, and have chosen to do nothing about it.”

It also charges Sony and Square-Enix will negligence, saying both companies were aware but have kept on blaming each other with neither willing to cover the cost of repair.

honestly hes suing sony and $E for a game freezing hes console.
maybe i should sue sony and criterion when burnout paradise fried my bluray laser making reading ps3 games impossible.
or maybe i should sue asus for selling me a laptop promising it would be updated with drivers for windows 7 and its not.
or maybe i should sue perguot for selling me a car that had a crap air conditioning unit.
or maybe i should sue perguot for selling me a car with a crappy sunroof.
    catch my drift?
this is absolutely ridiculous you cant sue someone because something they sold you broke.
you have to prove it was their fault which is nigh on impossible.
