Was Bioware’s Mass Effect 2 a bit too, say, heavy for you? Don’t worry the developer got you covered. BioWare’s Casey Hudson has said that Mass Effect 3 will be a bit more fun and lighthearted than Mass Effect 2.
While speaking to OXM UK, Hudson said the third installment will bring “fun and lightnes” back to the series with Normandy pilot Joker and the on-board AI, EDI.
Well, we’re not talking too much about Mass Effect 3 right now, but the second story in a trilogy is where you traditionally end up in a fairly dark place,†Hudson said.
“The third story is where you try and bring some fun and lightness back into it.
One thing we tried to do with Mass Effect 2 was as well as bringing in the more mature stuff, we also tried to bring in a lot more humor so that we can go to these places without making it an overbearing experience.”
“I think we have a lot more fun this time through characters like Joker and EDI. Mass Effect 3 is going to be the epic conclusion… so, a lot more darkness but also a lot more humor.”
According to Hudson, the third game will also include mining, and a “constant stream” of DLC will be released.

all i want from ME3 is better directions.
like the start of allot of missions your just wondering around like a stunned mullet trying to find things.
like for example one mission i had to find this guy i spent 20 minutes running around like a hedless chook looking for him, finally found him, than spent another 20 minutes trying to find a taxi stand which i needed to progress.
why cant the game just have a big fat arrow pointing you in the right direction like it normally does?
sometimes it has a arrow showing you where to go, sometimes it does not why cant it be on all the time?
thats the only thing i want changed in ME3, besides that keep the game exactly the same it was perfect!!!!!!
I heard the new one will be available for both PS3 and Xbox 360. We’ll have to wait for that….
nah i really doubt that, they have been saying that about ME1 and than 2 for god knows how long!
if there going to bring the trilogy at a reduced price than yeah its worth it, if there going to release 1,2,3 one after each other at full price than forget it!
