Sales of Sony’s PSPgo has been less than stellar and in an effort to boost the fledgling handheld, the company is introducing a new promotion that it hopes will encourage sales, making anyone who registered their device after April 1st eligible for the offer.
The promotion will allow gamers to download games like Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, FIFA 10 and GTA.
‘On PSPgo we’ve decided to innovate with that particular business model,†SCE UK director Mark Howsen told MCV. “Next month we’re launching a free ten game offer. And this isn’t just older titles – we’ve worked with third parties and there’s some really good core products.”
“We’re using it as a method to drive the hardware as well by making the whole proposition much more appealing.”
Sony will soon announce the exact date of the promotion.
