Second week of sales in the UK show a surprising strong performance for Remedy’s new comer Alan Wake. The title holds steady in the top 5 even after receiving a really weak marketing campaign compared to how Microsoft tends to treat their exclusives titles. Alan Wake is the #5 best selling games in the UK Individual Charts after debuting at #1 last week.

Remedy confirmed prior the game release that they wanted to see how well the game performed to justify the development of a sequel [Alan Wake 2].
“ Well, it’s certainly no secret that we’d love to make a second one if the first one does well. But since the game isn’t even out yet, it’s really up in the air.” – Remedy
World wide sales are yet unknown but in the meantime Remedy should feel pretty good that their new IP is holding strong…at least in the UK. The game also debuted at # 1 in France and Netherlands.
