Well it might happen all over again folks. Just like Final Fantasy XIII was formerly a PS3 exclusive title but later made the multiplatform switch, it would seem that Square-Enix boss, Yoichi Wada, is keeping the idea of Versus XIII going multiplatform open also.
I’m not one bit surprised, after all it’s all business. But we’ll have to wait and see for sure.
It was during a Q&A session at the end of an investors meeting today in Tokyo that Wada let it slip:
When asked if it would be best to give Versus a multiplatform release on Xbox 360, Wada said “We’ll be looking into it internally until right before the formal announcement.”
A formal reveal of the game will hopefully happen at E3 in June, however the game’s director, Tetsuya Nomura has given clues suggesting that an announcement might come even later.
Many thought Final Fantasy Versus XIII exclusivity happened as a compensation to Sony when FFXIII went multiplatform. Apparently not. We’ll keep you posted as more unfolds.
The full quencher’s at Andriasang, they got it through Impress Watch.
