Rumor Thirst: Insomniac Games Going Multiplatform

Ratchet & Clank developer, Insomniac Games, might be heading the way of the Xbox 360, if a “trusted” IGN source is to be believed.

Said source spoke to the website at GDC under the condition of anonymity.

Insomniac Games has enjoyed an extremely good relationship with Sony for countless years. Sony supports the studio as if it were its own, and franchises like Resistance and Ratchet & Clank has done well on PlayStation platforms. So if this rumor is true, this decision must have been a well thought-out one.

Don’t expect to see neither Ratchet nor Resistance on any other platform, as Sony owns them both so expect a new IP – once again that’s if the rumor turns out to be correct.

Ouch. It’ll be embarrassing if nothing happens, or if it goes contrary to the site’s rumor…
