Onlive is set to do big things, like taking you away from your console and wooing you over to its revolutionary form of playing games. Online, no console just play. How does that sound?
Not sure how you feel about it? Well Mark Rein, Epic Games vice president does. He had an excellent experience with Onlive saying “only the super-hardcore will notice lag”.
“I was just blown away how well it plays,” he told Gamasutra at Dice last month. “If you’re that super hardcore player who plays it on the most asskicking-est PC money can buy, you notice lag… maybe everything isn’t turned up to 12, but if you’re a gamer who doesn’t want to go erect a big fancy pc like that… it’s really fun.”
Onlive allows you to play games on any computer; the service fee is set at $14.99 per month plus the cost of games, and will launch in the US on June 17th.
