February wasn’t the best of months for the industry in terms of software and hardware sales. PS3 did experience a 30 percent increase in sales over last year, but the industry on a whole realized another month of decreased sales compared to 2009. However in the midst of it all, the Xbox 360 manages, time and time again to defy the odds.
According to the NPD, “Xbox 360 nabbed the top-spot among the three console systems for the first time since September 2007 when Halo 3 as released.”
News Microsoft will surely welcome and talk about in the days and weeks to come.
We’ll have the full NPD results up shortly.

You know it trailed both the Wii and the PS3 in worldwide sales, right? But hey, I guess only the US matters, huh?
Was there a place in the news piece denying what you just stated Crimson?
No, you know we don’t do fanboy here, we simply report the news…
Ernice,
In Crimson’s defense, no where in the entire article is it stated what region you are referring to. So for him to state worldwide that the article is false, is not an act of a fanboy. Your article should depict the facts better, or at least define the scope of your statements.
Reaver, by now we all know the NPD report only includes American video games sales.
So although it wouldn’t hurt if I’d inserted the obvious, however there’s no issue if it’s not included. We all know NPD only report on America sales..
And I was not calling Crimson a fanboy either; he’s been a great part of our community for some time now ; )
Yes, we all know the NPD report only show America’s sales. But not once in this article does it state it was NPD sales. Therefore, the Crimson was correct in what he said.
“According to the NPD, “Xbox 360 nabbed the top-spot among the three console systems for the first time since September 2007 when Halo 3 as released.—
Did you read the piece Klarax?

Fanboy is a silly term. I don’t like it or use it. I go with console warrior instead.
