by Ernice Gilbert on March 10th, 2010, under Sony

For months on end, the PlayStation Motion Controller has been given many different names. First is was the Wand, others said it was the PlayStation Arc, none were correct. It’ officially the PlayStation Move.

Move on pass the break.

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has just announced Move at a press conference in San Fransisco, now over.

“Fast, precise and accurate” is how SCEA Peter Dille described “Move” stating the transition for players from Wii to Move will be a “natural’ one.

High level of “precision” and “challenge” will keep the core happy said Dille.

SOCOM 4 will be Move compatible with a sub-controller. Sony rolled out a demo which used Move to control the camera and the character while the sub-controller handled the shooting.

what’s even more exciting is you can use Move to play through the entire game.

I’m actually really excited about this. I was watchig it live earlier and it was nice to see it in games instead of tech demos. I don’t play my wii that much at all and when I do it’s for an hour or two with friends so everyone has something to play instead of just watching me play uncharted :)
Sony’s take on motion controls is far Beyomd what the
competition is doing and the price is actually really good. I think there’s a lot of people are going to hate at first but once they try it out they’ll see what the big deal is. I mean if people went crazy over the wii then I don’t see why they wouldn’t be happy with something that is clearly a lot better. And unlike the wii this isn’t forced on you if it’s not your cup of tea then don’t buy it you still have an acing console with top notch games. And if you do buy it you have a choice to use it as an option in your hardcore gaming needs. I applaud Sony on what there doing. They defenitly have something for everyone and they do it without letting the hardcore down.

I agree, I’m really excited about the potential this thing has. I’ll definitely buy the thing.
