Today is the 9th day of March, 2010. Have you purchased FFXIII yet? Are you even going to?
The game’s been under development for 4 years now, and have gone through a lot. First it was being developed as a PS2 title, then moved on to PS3 losing 1 1/2 years of development time. Soon after, at E308, word broke that the game would also be headed to Xbox 360 – much to the dismay of many PS3 owners.
I think now that it’s finally out, the Games Thirst community should join in a healthy discussion sharing your thoughts on the game.

Well being that we don’t do fanboy here, (which I’m proud to be a part of) I’d still argue that it was a bad decision when Square-Enix announced the game would also be on Xbox 360 after they’d give their word that it would be exclusive to PS3.
On another note, I’m not a huge RPG fan, I’m more for Platformers and action adventure, this affects me the least.
However all this rage surrounding the title has got me quite interested.
I think it’s nice that more people can enjoy the game being it’s also on the 360. But at the same time I can’t help but be somewhat disappointed…. The game being on the 360 just makes me wonder how much better it could have been remaining exclusive to the PS3. i

There will always be this nagging thought of whether FFXIII would have been a better title had it been exclusive to PS3, utilizing all the system’s power.
I don’t plan on buying this for myself. Now, I may end up getting it for my wife though. Even that would be a long time away, as she hasn’t completed FFXII yet.
Oh, so your wife is a fan? I’m a huge fan of all things Final Fantasy, my favorite being VII followed by X.
But like I said before, you’ve got yourself an awesome wife there man!
