@Gilbert:An article that ends with “So, console gamer, what say you now?” is just provocative. Offended? I’m not offended, I just answered the question, and showed one reason why console gaming is better: consoles have (a lot of big budget) games that can’t be played on PC.

I was thinking the same thing Mighty, if not for anything else but just to experience it in its full glory.

There’s definitely hype building up for this one, the only thing missing now is some gameplay footage.

Looks extremely promising though.

looks my worries of this being watered down for consoles were unfounded.
THANK GOD!
now only if ID, valve and other developers could follow suit.
im sick and tired of having to put up with crappy console ports.
as if having to wait months longer was not enough!
as if having to put up with this BS DRM was not bad enough.
we have to put up with crappy ports too?
no wonder people keep saying PC gaming is dead.

Limanima I don’t see a hint of fanboyism at all…. And of course games are not all about graphics…..but good graphics definately add to a better experience for me. On topic: the screens look amazing! I’m not a PC gamer but man this game just might have me upgrade to a High end gaming rig. Or I can wait for a PS4 or the next xbox

PC is cheaper.

You also have to take into accout online fees (for xbox 360), the extra price of games (+postage/bus money/petrol, since PC can download), and also the price of your “non-gaming” pc you had to buy to do other pc related things.

I could put together a high performance PC for around £700. The difference between that and your console+pc would very quickly be made up by the added fees.

On topic: Crysis looks incredible, looking forward to seeing how well my pc handles it

The xbox 360 is 5 years old, the PC shots better well be lightyears beyond any console right now. Is it breaking news that PS3 graphics are better than PS2 graphics too?

The PC obviously has an advantage graphically but when you look at value for money ie. the cost to get the graphics then consoles are easier on the pocket.

Griff, the last line asks for debate, not fanboy rants. It boils down to what I said before.

A great discussion is to be had: talking about the different platforms and the obvious advantage the PC has. Not fanboys spewing cuss words left and rights; leave that for kids.

The problem is, folks take things a bit too serious. Why should you get offended? There are bigger things to worry about than which console is better or which is more powerful..

If a headline gets someone so upset because it says a game looks better on one platform than the other, especially if it’s true (which it is), surely said person has too much time on his/her hand.

Get over it already.

This article is full of fanboyism and what I, has a console gamer, have to say: Gaming is not about graphics, it’s about games. Go and play franchises like God of War, Wipeout, Ratchet, Suoer Mario, Zelda, Uncharted and just about any other Sony or Nintendo exclusive on a PC. There ain’t almost any game that’s on PC that it isn’t on a console.

Looks freaking sick. But sadly if you don’t have a good enough graphic card you won’t be experiencing superb graphics.
