True that about all the conspiracies, that's the reason this article was written, just to dispel the nonsense.

And abut taking apart your systems, that's for the pros, not all are pros... : )

yea i was not talking about the article i was talking about the thought.
anyone with any hardware knowledge would know it is impossible to control systems that are out of your hands.
the only thing they could do is update the OS/firmware but well they would not do that because if they got caught and they would they would be in so much trouble they wont see the light of day ever again.

not only the ps3 either, the 360 too.
im tired of reading articles about manufactures deliberately breaking consoles just after their warranty expiry date.

like a few weeks ago i read this article saying sony deliberately programed FW 3.0 to YLOD 60GB BC ps3s since their out of warranty.
thats just ridiculous!
or i remember after the NXE update there were so many articles saying ms deliberately wrote code in the update that caused the E74 errors.

guys there is no conspiracy full stop, things break its as simple as that.
YLODs are simply caused because the heat sink past sony uses is cheap crap and deteriorates in a year, so once your warranty's out the heat sink paste is much thinner there for less heat is being dissipated and the CPU overheats.

360s RROD is very similar but instead of the heat sink paste its solder directly over the CPU, gets so hot it melts the solder smothering the board.
thats why 90% of RROD consoles have a short circuit.

if you do what i do and take your systems apart once a year they will run like a baby smooth as silk with no hiccups.
but obviously this is only for people who know what their doing.
