That thing looks awful. It’d be like having a giant eye sitting under your television. I’m fairly certain this isn’t the design concept Sony have in mind for the PS4.

Touchscreen technology is definetly a possibility, though. Although i’d want it to only be used for menu screens and the like, the Dualshock has to continue to be Sony’s main controller for gaming. It’s as much a part of their history as the Playstation console itself.

Unique design concept and nicely executed by the designer Chiem. It is exactly that tho – a concept. He is a fan and freelancer and was challenging himself, so I think we still have a long long ways to go before we even have an idea of what PS4 (or whatever they will name it for that matter) will look like.

I like how this looks too, pretty crazy. And yes you can pry my controller from my dead hands I will never give up some type of controller to smash buttons on for no controller or a moving wand at all.

I like the idea with the controller, but if they’re going to be serious about motion control, why not integrate it into the current Dualshock?

What I’d like to see, one controller that does it all. Seperate the dpad from the buttons, to have two wii-ish wands for motion control games or connect them for a traditional gamepad.

Touch screen, seems like a waste of time. I don’t want to have a stand alone system, or I’d get a PSP or DS. I want it to work with a tv / whatever is the top of the line visual display at the time.

I would like to see wireless video transmission to a display device, as HDMI should become the “backward” compatable standard.

Just a view thoughts when I see this design. . .

I actually like how it looks, although I’d have to agree with you there about the Controls..

DualShock will do just fine. : )
