Ghost Recon Title Also Under Development For Wii

by Ernice Gilbert on February 9th, 2010, under Nintendo Wii, Ubisoft

Rejoice Wii faithfuls, Ubisoft’s just announced that a Ghost Recon game is under development specifically for your console of choice.

Nothing else was divulged other than it won’t be the same title being made for PS3 and Xbox 360, but will be a different experience altogether.

No release date, nothing.

The info, like what was reported on earlier, was mentioned in the company’s Q3 investor earnings call.

“Future Soldier” seems like everyone’s going the modern warfare route..

Indeed Modern Warfare, Medal of Honor, Tom Clancy games, Battlefield Bad Company and now Ghost Recon all focusing on terroists and modern age dilemas. I almost want to go back to when every game was based in WWII lol almost. But seeing all these modern age shooters I would not be surprised if EA or Infinty Ward, etc. go back to WWII in a year or two it is such a great story for a shooter and I love the history of games based in the older wars.

Controls could make it interesting. It’ll be interesting to see what comes of it graphics wise, hopefully it doesn’t end up looking like a PS2 game quickly rushed to the Wii.

There’s only so much devs can ram into the Wii : )

Yea, but being that the Wii is more powerful than the GameCube was, by almost double, there is no reason for games to look like PS2 games on the Wii.

That’s just laziness on the developers, and being 3+ years into a consoles life, and having games that look worse than GameCube games is really messed up.
