Bayonetta Has Sold 1.1 Million Copies Since Launch

The title which was the recipient of much hype has now past the 1 million mark, this according to the game’s publisher Sega, making it the the firm’s second most popular title in nine months ending December 31st. Not to shabby.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games outdid Platinum’s masterpiece for the number one spot – naturally, anything with Mario’s name on it will sell like hot cakes, however it’s still good to see Bayonetta doing this well for a new IP.

Do you smell Bayo 2? It’s probably already cooking.

And the top five games are:

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Wii, DS) – 5,670,000 units

Bayonetta (PS3, 360) – 1,100,000 units

Football Manager 2010 (PSP, PC) – 740,000 units

Phantasy Star Portable 2 (PSP) – 540,000 units

Bayonetta’s out now, and from our own experience, we can confirm it’s awesomeness.

I still haven’t played this one. Is it really worth picking it up?

I have too many games to finish right now, but I will definitely pick this one up when I get the chance.

Again, it’s a great game with some of the best combination moves anywhere.

A must have for any hack-n-slash fan.

    I would say that’s great for a game that’s so short(or so I read).
