Dante’s Inferno comes to our shores next Tuesday, by then it’ll already be available in the UK, it lands there this coming Friday. From what we’ve seen, the game’s shaping up to be something different in the sense that it takes players straight to hell and give them a choice to choose good over evil and vice-versa.
Visceral Games hopes its title does well of course but as of now, the studio has no plans to make a sequel.
“I’ve read the entire divine comedy and I’ve given it some thought, but there are no plans,” Jonathan Knight said while speaking to Industry Gamers.
“We are working on expansions to Dante’s Inferno that will be coming soon, like a prequel campaign that shows the dark forest and unveil.”
I assuming this all could change if the game does well and Knight is just being careful not to speak before results are in.
The Dark Forest DLC that explores the prequel levels of the game Knight is referring to will be released in March. Also a second DLC package dubbed “Saint Lucia” will feature a mission creator and co-op, however a formal confirmation has yet to be announced.

I agree 100%. I think most companies go into games, hoping they do well enough for a sequel. Not all, but most.
I’m thinking that with EA buying a Super Bowl commercial for the game, they are planning on marketing this game extremely well.
Some even say it might sell better than God of War III…
Could be, the game’s multiplatform…
I never thought of that Ernice it might sell more than GOW3 being multi-platform and EA is advertising heavily on this one even taking out ads for the super bowl. Sony needs to push some ad dollars toward GOW3′s way could you just imagine a Kevin Butler ad for GOW3.
