In his latest video diary, David Jaffe, God of War creator, said he has “no regrets” over leaving the God of War series.
“I don’t wish I was on the God of War III team. I’m totally happy with the contributions I made to that series, but, you know, it’s not my game.”
Jaffe also mentioned his studio, Eat Sleep and Play, briefly mentioning Twisted Metal while trying to clarify a misunderstanding?
“Just to be clear, I’ve never said we were NOT making a new Twisted Metal. Ever. But just to be 100% clear, if we were to make a new Twisted, I would consider it a reboot,” Jaffe said.
“If we were to make a new one, we’d be starting with the assumption that no one knows what twisted Metal is anymore and we’d have to re-earn each and every fan the series ever had.”

David Jaffe has produced some very memorable, groundbreaking, and now historical franchises that will live on in gamer lore for many foreseeable years into the future. It breaks my heart to see him leave GOW especially when he created the franchise and made it what it is but I’m sure he is putting his brilliant gaming mind to hard work and is in the lab cooking up some spectacular stuff. I played Twisted Metal nonstop back in the day and spent countless hours on GOW 1 and 2. This guy knows how to develop games and make them ultra fun in the process. I so hope to see a Twisted Metal reboot I was a huge fan of the series back in the day and it would be awesome to see it brought to this generation of consoles. The way he words his statements it seems like there is one in the oven and it is on it’s way maybe a trailer or clip at E3. Ernice I will be checking in on you nonstop at E3 there are going to be a ton of crazy announcements and this is one I can not wait to hear and see.
