Warner Brothers Looking To Reboot The Mortal Kombat Movie

Over on the immensely-popular horror movie website Bloody Disgusting, they have received word that the Mortal Kombat series of films will be seeing a reboot in the (possibly) near future.

Oren Uziel is reportedly being brought in to write the screenplay for the movie but no word on the progress of the project has been announced. I would like to see the reboot get an ‘R’ rating and actually include fatalities for once but all I can really wonder now is what happened to the third movie that was supposed to be coming out?

Let’s hope the fatalities are brought in. It just isn’t mortal kombat without them. I can totally picture them doing the over the top violence like in the movie ninja assassin but with MK characters I’d pay to see that.

Man I hope they make a Mortal Kombat movie, I’m a big fan of MK seen every movie and had a MK game on piece of hardware I owned. “Finish Him” “Get Over Here” classic lines

R Raged MK movie!? Sweetness! Maybe some Hara Kiri too. The intense “MORTAL KOMBAT!” at to open the first movie…EPIC. I remember being at the movie theater, waiting for the show, and a crowd of people around the arcade game, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, putting my 2 quarters up on the screen (on the ledge) to mark my spot in line for winner, then playing with Cyrax and winning a few before being destroyed by an older kid lol. Ah…back in the days.
