Sony Santa Monica: “This Is Not The End Of God Of War”

by Ernice Gilbert on January 19th, 2010, under Gaming News

The trilogy will be done with the third installation of the game that’s set to hit stores this March, but as for the franchise, “this is not of the.”

“This is not the end of God of War,” Sony Santa Monica Director of product development, John Hight, told Gamervision.

“This is definitely the end of the trilogy, but we’re going to continue to do God of War games.” He added: “We’re going to be very careful about what we do; we’re keepers of the franchise and we don’t want to see it ruined or polluted.”

So expect more Kratos in the future? You sure bet, and I’m looking forward to it. The game lands on earth in Japan on March 26th, but nothing solid for the west yet, we’ll know soon enough.

New screens were released yesterday however we advice you not to watch if your bladder isn’t strong. They’re that good looking.

Yea, I would imagine they’re being spin-off games. Maybe not Kratos, but another character’s story?

Kind of like Half-Life 2, where it they have the two Episodes that followed the original Half-Life 2, giving other characters’ stories.

No solid date has been announced xGhost. However it can’t be much longer until they announce one. March is less than two months away…

Well great! I think the following game(s) will follow the brother of Kratos, did any of ya remember the ending where they mention him? a winged shadowy figure is shown.

Also don’t you find it a bit intriguing that in the GOW collection just seeing this ending earns you a trophy???

I bet his brother will be an important part of the third installment if not a playable character perfect for a spin-off game.

All I hope is they don’t jump the shark and drag it out until it is not a moneymaker for sony anymore. Can’t wait to see what GOW3 has in store for us. And tester4life i think you’re on to something there I could definetly see that happening. I know everybody is counting down to march and can’t wait to see what comes next.

The trilogy would be done. But other games will be made. However the story that began with the first, with Kratos at the helm will be completed with this, the third installment of the franchise.
