I know this review is a tad bit late but I just subjected myself to this game today and I felt like I needed to give my own version of a public service announcement. That first sentence should be enough of a clue as to what I will be giving this title.

Considering iCarly is an extremely popular television show I suppose a game was inevitable but what Human Soft has created I don’t even think little kids would enjoy. I’ll start off with the story which is just ridiculous, so ridiculous in fact that I can’t even remember what it was about because I had to skip through all of the cutscenes. I wouldn’t even really call them cutscenes, all they are is text with cartoon avatars and really badly recorded voice overs from what I think is supposed to be the show’s cast.

You’re supposed to help run ‘webisodes’ to help the iCarly show. Now you’d think maybe they could have put a little creative thinking into this portion of the game? No, they didn’t. All you do is play stupid little mini games that get boring and repetitive in less then 5 minutes. In each episode you have to complete around 5 different mini games. If you mess any of them up you have to restart from the beginning of the episode at mini game number 1 again.

You also have the ability to “customize” your studio with items you purchase with stars earned in the game. However, you can’t move or re-color or do anything with the items you buy and there is only around 5-8 items available for purchase. So much for replayability.

There really isn’t much else to say about this game. I wasn’t expecting much when I decided to give my sister’s DS copy a try but I was blown away by it’s horrid presentation, gameplay and sound. I honestly think ripping out your own eyes would be funner.

Pros:
- So simple a toddler could play it
- Being able to turn the DS off

Cons:
- So simple a toddler could play it (goes both ways)
- Boring, repetitive gameplay
- No replay value at all
- Horrible presentation and badly recorded audio

1/10

“I’ll start off with the story which is just ridiculous, so ridiculous in fact that I can’t even remember what it was about because I had to skip through all of the cutscenes.”

Just for future sake, if you say a game’s story is ridiculous, followed by, “…I had to skip through all the cutscenes.”, you probably shouldn’t mention it.
I thought, “Why even mention something and call it ridiculous when he didn’t try to understand it, and skipped right over it?”

Unless you meant the game itself forced you to skip the cutscenes, which would be extremely odd of itself.

I got half way through the game watching the god awful cutscenes before I started skipping them. Should have mentioned that but eh, a game like this doesn’t deserve defending to be honest.

    @Ernice Gilbert:
Really strange on the email, because it was forward over. So there was a lot of “information” above the email text.

I think the reason is because the address it was sent to, was hotmail.com, instead of GMAIL.com.

What address would you like me to reply to?

Why would you review this? are u guys interested in toddlers visiting the page looking for an iCarly game review?

The iCarly show is a giant monkey turd, I’ve watched it and now I hate a person that I’ve never met thanks to nickelodeon… So, the game must follow the show, right? there’s not much to do right there, other than to mooch on her image, still, I can’t wait till she whores out.
