Name me what "hardcore" games you're talking about on the Wii, and how they have fail compared to what games on the other consoles you want to compare them with.

Coffee, look up the stats, maybe you buy them, but generally, a hardcore game for Wii usually fail to sell passed one million copies. Seriously. That's definitely not encouraging to devs who'd like to make HC games for the system..

"They can’t do that with the Wii because it’s powerless." I think Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] would like to speak with you sir.

While graphically not the same, the levels are the same in the single-player campaigns...because it's a direct port.

"How have developers been neglecting the Wii?"
If the Wii is nothing more than "a glamorized GameCube", why do so many 3rd Party games look like PS2 or PSP games? Why is it that Resident Evil 4 is one of the best looking games on the Wii, yet it was developed for the GameCube.

I'll tell you why, LAZY developers.

If the Wii is 1.5 times MORE powerful than the GameCube, the graphics should at least be GameCube worthy.

"The system’s audience have proven that they don’t buy hardcore games."
What hardcore games are you talking about?

Coffee, the Wii is a glamorized GameCube coupled with motion controls; nothing more. How have developers been neglecting the Wii? There's only so much cash to spend on developing game. When working with PS3 and Xbox 360, all a developer has to do is port said game from one system to the next. They can't do that with the Wii because it's powerless.

The system's audience have proven that they don't buy hardcore games. So should a development company risk making a hardcore game solely for the Wii because it won't be able to work on PS3 or Xbox 360 and hope for the best? It's been proven, the games don't sell there because no hardcore gamer wants to swing a motion control around for hours. That's for children. So yes, they've neglected us.

I have to admit? No, I don't. How has Nintendo ignored the "hardcore" crowd? I think the "hardcore" crowd has/is ignoring Nintendo...as well as 3rd Parties that release mediocre games on the Wii, and then complain that "games don't sell" on the Wii.

Yes indeed, and I don't think people were thinking or predicting that the Wii will die, but rather slow down. You have to admit, Nintendo really did ignore the hardcore crowd this time around.

I think the real news will be that the underpowered Wii system that most "journalists" have predicted the gloom and doom of, outsold the PS3 and Xbox360 for December once again.
