Pachter: PS3 And 360 To Receive Price Cuts This Summer

If you thought neither PS3 nor Xbox 360 would see price cuts anytime soon, think again because according to Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst, Michael Pachter, it might happen in a few months.

Pachter said that he expected “another price cut for both systems some time this year,” pointing out that “because its manufacturing costs are lower, Microsoft has the ability to lower price as early as March or April.”

Adding to his predictions, Pachter also believes Microsoft could release “a more feature packed Xbox 360 in early 2010 (likely with a 250GB hard drive) at the same $299 price point.” This will happen only if the software giant realizes that it’s losing too much market share to Sony,” stating that he expects the price cut that PS3 received last fall will continue to help Sony gain ground on Microsoft.

I don’t see a price drop coming. Maybe later on, but not anytime soon. Plus its Patcher who’s predicting this. lol.
