Sony do have a fantastic first - party lineup but another huge factor is their relationship with third - party developers.

Sony are able to acquire great third - party exclusive games just from having a strong relationship with devs. Games like Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, Yakuza, White Knight Chronicles, Demon's Souls and, of course, Metal Gear Solid were all obtained through Sony's ability to build relationships with dev teams.

Microsoft don't quite have the same people skills. It seems the only way Microsoft can acquire a third - party exclusive nowadays is by driving a dump - truck full of $100 bills up to the devs studio.

Riddle me this... if PS3 is so far ahead, why is the XBox 360 mirroring them?

Don't be shy, lol.

Fact is PS3 is really awesome, but they aren't awesome enough to lay down and take a break. Especially when XBox 360's Project Natal is about to change the game and bring technology not seen anywhere. Surely they were inspired by the Wii, but who wasn't?

Here's the point...

PS3 technically should be the number 1 console, and by far. They're console is more advanced and its obvious, but at the same time they're failing to eliminate the quote unquote weaker competition.

These facts are more than enough evidence for me to know that PS3 is not as big and bad as we would like to assume.

Who wins or loses lies with the console buyer. No matter who that loser is, no 1 console is so far ahead that you can count either console out. Either way I'm glad they both exists to give us gamers an option.

I can say this Sony does have a ton of 1st party studios. Way more than MS. But that can be a good or bad thing. If their games don't sell well, they might shut the studio down. So they have much to gain but they also have much to lose.
